March 2025

Engage

March 5 - Automated Inbox Rules Button in Slide-Out

Automated rules for the Conversations inbox are now accessible directly from the inbox via the profile slide-out. Previously, this feature was only available in the Meltwater app’s content settings, limiting visibility and adoption. Learn more about Automated Inbox Actions.

March 19 - Threads Now Available in Publish

Publish to Threads alongside your other social platforms—plan, schedule, and post from Engage Publish. Stay ahead by investing in emerging platforms and reaching your community where they are. Learn more about Publishing to Threads.

March 19 - Post Detail PDF Export

Get a detailed, shareable view of each post on your calendar, including content, status, and history, so your team has all the context they need. Learn more about Exporting from Publish.

March 26 - Multi-Approver Publishing Workflow

Set up structured, multi-step approval workflows for social posts with up to five approvers—giving your team more control, flexibility, and accountability throughout the publishing process. Learn more about Multi-Approver Publishing Workflow.

Monitor

March 10 - Monitor Landing Page

Your Monitor experience has changed. There is a new landing page that makes it easier to organize and access content in this product. The landing page experience was inspired by and designed for Monitor power users. It improves governance and performance. Learn more about Monitor Landing Page.

Radarly

March 10 - TikTok Data Available in Radarly

Brands can now track and analyze public @ mentions of their business handle on TikTok in Radarly, unlocking insights from one of the most influential platforms in digital culture. Learn more about TikTok Listening with Radarly.

Klear

March 11 - Audience Demographics For More Influencers

We’ve enriched more influencer profiles across the Klear database with AI-powered Instagram audience demographics, making vetting more data-driven.

  • 500K more influencers now have audience demographics, marked with an AI-powered label, filling gaps where data was previously limited.

    • Available insights include age, gender, influence level and top countries.

  • This does not change the user workflow, it simply expands demographic data availability to more influencers with predicted insights.

March 11 - Updated Email Integration Permissions

Users now have more flexibility when integrating their email in Klear, allowing them to choose the permission level that best fits their workflow:

  • Full Access – Send emails and receive replies directly within Klear.

  • Send Only – Send emails in Klear while keeping replies in your separate inbox.

March 13 - Review and Approve

Review and approve automated newsletters before sending for greater control and accuracy. Simply schedule a review email to ensure the newsletter always looks complete before sending, allowing you to preview, make edits, and approve. Learn more about Creating Automated Newsletters.

March 13 - Estimated Views for More Publications

Close to 90,000 editorial sources are expected to include Estimated View. Learn more about Estimated Views.

March 20 - More Podcast Coverage & Updated TV Reach for Select Regions

We now cover 24,000 of the most influential podcasts worldwide, including 20,000 from the U.S. and 4,000 from international markets. Learn more about Podcast Monitoring with Meltwater.

March 20 - Bluesky Engagement Metrics

Engagement metrics are now available for Bluesky posts. The engagement metrics available are as follows:

  • Reach = Number of followers

  • Engagement = Combined number of Reposts, Quotes, Replies, and Likes

Media Relations

March 18 - Individual Open Rates are Now Sortable

Sort by ascending or descending open rate on the All journalists and Private contacts tabs, as well as within an actual media list's details page.

March 25 - Faster List Building with Private Profiles
Add contacts to media lists while creating private profiles, streamlining list building and saving time by eliminating extra steps.

March 25 - See Member Counts When Adding to Media Lists
When adding contacts or sources to a media list, the "Add to list" pop-up now displays how many members are already in each list.

March 25 - Smarter Searching with an Updated UI
An updated search page that makes it easier to define, refine, and manage searches—whether you're looking for contacts, sources, or specific topics.

March 13 - Digest Reports: AI Overviews Expansion to Select Bundles

AI Overviews for Digest Reports are now available by default for new and existing customers with select bundles.

February 3 - Boost & Measure TikTok Ads

Turn your organic TikTok posts into Spark Ads from the new Advertise tab in Engage—no need to switch platforms! Now in open beta for all Engage customers, with more enhancements on the way. Learn more about TikTok Ads.

February 3 - Measure Paid Performance Template

February 5 - Universal Posts in Conversations Inbox

Get quick visibility into owned post details and performance while moderating and engaging with your community. With this update, you can preview how an owned post appears on social, review its history, add notes and tags, and access analytics—all without switching to Measure or Publish. February 12 - Publishing: Edit Link Thumbnails for Facebook Posts

Customize the image, title, and description of link thumbnails for the domains you own to ensure your post is visually appealing, accurate, and aligned with your message. Learn more about Customizing Owned Link Thumbnails in Facebook Posts.

February 12 - Upload and Share Documents to LinkedIn Posts

Attach PDFs, Word documents, and presentations directly to your LinkedIn posts, making content more interactive and engaging for your audience. Learn more about Publishing on LinkedIn.

February 19 - Editing Video Thumbnails Supports More Channels

Upload custom thumbnails for LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube videos in

Engage’s publishing calendar to grab attention, boost engagement, and control

Note:

  • Instagram and Facebook were already supported

  • X is not supported

  • YouTube Limitations:

    • To edit YouTube thumbnails, YouTube requires that you verify your phone number to receive intermediate and advanced features. This is not unique to Meltwater. YouTube requires this step to edit thumbnails on their native platform. Learn how to do this here.

    • Thumbnail changes cannot be applied to YouTube Shorts. If your video is less than 60 seconds long and in portrait orientation, it will automatically be published as a Short and the thumbnail changes will not apply.

February 26 - Drag & Drop Media Assets into the Composer

There is no longer a need to click on the media icons or upload files one by one. Simply select multiple assets and drop them in at once, streamlining your workflow and saving valuable time. Learn more about Dragging and Dropping Media Assets into the Composer.

February 26 - Customize Your Publishing Alerts

Publishing alerts in Engage now give you more control over the notifications you receive. Previously, there was only a single alert option for post assignments, approvals, and rejections—making it an all-or-nothing experience. Now, alerts are broken out by specific actions, allowing you to customize your notifications based on what’s most relevant to you. Learn more about Managing Publish Alerts.

February 26 - Include Brand Responses in CSV Exports

Include brand responses when exporting mentions from your Conversations inbox to a CSV file. This ensures your exports capture both incoming messages and the responses your team has sent, providing a more complete record of interactions. Learn more about Using Conversations.

February 27 - TikTok Direct Messages in Conversations

Manage TikTok direct messages directly within the Conversations inbox. This feature helps your organization monitor, moderate, and engage with the direct messages your TikTok account receives, alongside your other social media channels.

Note: TikTok direct messages must be responded to within 48 hours of receiving them. If you miss this cut-off time, you will need to respond directly in TikTok.

Klear

February 4 - Connect Inbox Enhancements

Updates to your Connect Inbox make managing influencer communications faster, simpler, and more efficient—while keeping everything accessible in one place.

  • All Messages: The All Messages tab now includes all campaign, outreach, and recruit emails plus all replies, so your full interaction history is always in one thread.

    • Note: The All Emails tab has been removed and merged into All Messages, so no more switching between tabs!

  • Streamline Tracking Links & Coupon Codes: Send tracking links and coupon codes directly to influencers from your integrated email, even to those without a Klear account.

  • Links in Emails: Easily add links in emails to share key resources with influencers.

  • Default Email Settings: Set your default email when multiple email addresses are integrated into your team’s account

February 11 - Social Connection Expiration Notice

Get notified in-app and via email, 7 days before their social connections expire so they never miss an Instagram Story in their campaign tracking. Learn more about Tracking Instagram Stories From Unauthenticated Influencers.

February 11 - Select Campaigns When Saving Stories

Select which campaigns unauthenticated stories are added to when saving. Learn more about Tracking Instagram Stories From Unauthenticated Influencers.

February 11 - Search Field for Campaign Labels

Easily filter and find relevant campaign labels with the new Labels search feature, making it easier to view and organize your active campaigns. Learn more about Organizing and Tracking Campaigns with Labels.

February 11 - Influencer Campaigns API

Influencer campaign data from Klear is now available in the Meltwater API, making it easier to integrate key campaign metrics and insights into existing systems for smarter analysis and decision-making.

February 18- New Email Notification Preferences Options

In My Preferences, you can customize which email notifications you receive, helping you stay focused on the updates that matter most while reducing inbox clutter. We’ve added two new notifications that you can turn off if you prefer to keep these updates in Klear without email alerts. Learn more about Notification Preferences.

February 25 - Redesigned Suggested Influencers Weekly Email

A weekly email featuring influencer suggestions will be sent right to your email inbox to discover new influencers even when you aren’t logged into Klear. This email is now organized by campaign, making it easier than ever to streamline your discovery and quickly identify influencers that best align with your specific initiatives. Media Relations

February 4 - Quickly Pitch to Journalists and Sources

Send personalized 1:1 emails directly from contact or source profile previews, saving time and ensuring authentic communication with members of the press. Learn more about Quick Pitch.

February 4 - Source Profile Previews

Easily evaluate sources with a quick profile preview in Search, showcasing their covered beats, recent articles, and whether they're already included in your media lists. Learn more about Vetting Journalists and Sources.

February 4 - NewsGuard Score in Source Profiles

Get a quick, reliable assessment of a source’s credibility and transparency, streamlining the process of vetting sources and safeguarding brand trust. Learn more about Vetting Journalists and Sources.

Note: NewsGuard is a paid add-on—this feature will only be visible to customers with this PLI.

February 25 - Domain Verification Information in "Approved Sender" Workflow

Email domain verification details now appear directly in the approved sender workflow, ensuring you see this step upfront. This helps prevent email delivery issues and makes it easy for IT teams to update DNS records for compliance. Learn more about Adding an Approved Sender.

February 25 - More Sort Options in Contact Search
Sort your contact search results by first name, last name, and primary source name to quickly filter and identify the most relevant journalists. Learn more about Refining Your Search Using Filters and Sorting Options.

Radarly

February 3 - Public Snapchat Content Available in Radarly

Social listening for Snapchat is available in Radarly. Following our release of Snapchat listening in Explore and our official Snapchat announcement, we have introduced Snapchat as a data source in Radarly. Learn more about Snapchat Listening in Radarly.

Explore

February 6 - Added Content Can Include Social

Social content can now be added and mapped to your Explore results. Before this update, social content was miscategorized as news, and filtering on results didn’t surface the added content. While this was limited to Facebook, X, and YouTube, now you can also add links from Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, as well as other regional networks and sites listed in the notes & limitations.

February 17 - Live Data & Topic-Based Briefs in the AI Search Assistant

The AI Search Assistant can create a topic-based brief using live data. This enhancement adds both the ability to use current event data to create a search and the briefing format that overviews the topic. The combination of live data and the briefing format makes it easy for users of any level to succeed when creating a topic-based search, even if the topic is recent. February 20 - Indonesian Print & Broadcast Coverage

Indonesian Print & Broadcast coverage is available in Explore via an RSS feed based on entitlements.

February 24 - Bluesky Social Listening in Explore

Bluesky is becoming a key space for journalists, policymakers, and tech leaders. With Bluesky social listening in Explore, you can tap into these discussions to spot emerging trends, track media narratives, and stay ahead of shifting conversations. Learn more about Bluesky Social Listening.

February 27 - AI Search Assistant Prompt Drop-down

The AI Search Assistant prompt box in Explore will open a prompt menu upon being clicked. This menu contains the same prompts as you see once you open the AI Search Assistant, helping you get to you search actions quicker. Learn more about the AI Search Assistant.

February 27 - Set, Retrieve, and Update Memories in the AI Search Assistant

The AI Search Assistant now has a "Memories" capability, allowing users to set persistent preferences and instructions (e.g., always including English and Japanese languages in a generated search). These memories are stored within Meltwater and influence how the assistant responds in future interactions. Learn more about the AI Search Assistant.

February 28 - TikTok Data Now Available in Explore

Brands can now track and analyze public @ mentions of their business handle on TikTok in Explore, unlocking insights from one of the most influential platforms in digital culture. As one of several industry leaders in TikTok’s API beta, we helped test and now offer access to this new capability. Learn more about TikTok Listening with Explore.

Meltwater

February 6 - Custom Categories in Excel Exports

Custom Categories are now included as a field in your raw data (.CSV, .XLSX) exports from Explore, Monitor, and Analyze. Read more about Exporting Content and Data.

Newsletters

February 6 - Customize Automated Newsletters with Social Engagement, "Also Featured In", and Options for Sections with No Articles

  • Engagement for social posts: Toggle on engagement for social to inform stakeholders of a social mention’s impact without opening a link to the post.

  • "Also featured in”: Showcase the other outlets that published your article with a new duplicate setting.

  • No content available: Hide the Newsletter section or set a default message that appears when no articles are available, so recipients don’t see blank sections.

Monitor

February 13 - Monitor Landing Page (Beta)

Monitor now has a dedicated landing page. Here you can:

  • See all your saved streams at a glance

  • Label favorites and pin them to the top for quick access

  • Return to recent streams without searching again

January 14 - Public Snapchat Content for Select Packages

Track and analyze content from public Snapchat profiles, including saved stories, stories, and spotlights. Learn more about Snapchat Listening in Explore.

January 15 - Print Circulation Metrics for Select Print Publications

We’ve added Print circulation metrics for some print outlets in Explore. Previously, all print outlets displayed online reach for articles in print editions. Learn more about PR Metrics.

January 23 - Toronto Star Included in Canadian Premium

Founded in 1892, the Toronto Star is Canada's largest daily newspaper, with a weekly circulation of almost 2.4 million copies.

  • Search full Toronto Star Print and Online articles, and see matches and results in Explore

  • For users with Canadian Premium package, full text article can be accessed in Explore

  • Understand how your brand or topic is being discussed in Canadian editorial articles

  • Use metaData.provider.type:"torontostar" to find articles

January 23 - Unlimited Rules-Based Automations Available for Select Packages By Default, or Add On for More Automations

Rules-based Automations in Explore now supports unlimited automations for those with L3, L4, L5 packages. By default, all L1 and L2 customers continue to have access to two (2) automations for up to 5,000 articles per day, with the option to upgrade for more rules. For L1, L2 customers, you have the option to add any quantity of rules. Learn more about Rules Based Automation.

January 30 - Enrichment for Partnership RSS Feed Sources

Online, Print, and Broadcast articles from select outlets are integrated into Meltwater with an RSS feed. Previously, the articles were not enriched with source metadata, resulting in inconsistent reporting. Now, articles received via a partner RSS feed are fully enriched with source metadata, so you can search, filter, and analyze them similar to standard outlets in Explore.

Engage

January 8 - LinkedIn Mentions

See and respond to mentions of your LinkedIn pages in posts right in the inbox. Learn more about Engage Conversations.

January 8 - Delete LinkedIn Comments & Replies

Delete LinkedIn comments and replies directly from the inbox to keep moderation efficient and your business page a clean, professional space. Learn more about Engage Conversations.

January 8 - Instagram Metrics Updates in Measure

  1. Instagram Metrics Deprecations

    1. The Video Views metric is no longer available and has been replaced by Instagram’s new Views metric, currently available only for Reels (not Posts or Carousels). Expect lower view counts moving forward. Learn more about Instagram Analytics in Measure.

  2. Instagram Stories Removed from Engagement Rate

    1. Instagram Stories will no longer factor into engagement rates. This change addresses customer feedback and API limitations, as Stories' limited metrics have been skewing engagement rate averages for Instagram profiles. Learn more about Instagram Analytics in Measure.

January 15 - Publish TikTok Posts with Images

Share single images or carousel posts (up to 35 images) on TikTok! This format makes it faster to create content and has been shown to boost engagement, helping you scale your strategy and keep your audience engaged. Learn more about Publishing on TikTok.

January 22 - LinkedIn Direct Messages in Conversations

We now support LinkedIn direct messages in the Conversations inbox, so you can monitor, moderate, and engage with messages your organization receives, all in one place. Learn more about LinkedIn Direct Messages in Conversations.

January 22 - Five UX Updates to Improve User Workflows

  1. One-Click Sentiment Editing: It’s easier to edit sentiment in Conversations threads. Click on a mention in the inbox, and the threaded conversation will appear in the right-hand window. You can edit the sentiment of any engagement in the thread directly from this window.

  2. Size of Post Composer Increased: The Create Post pop-up is now larger, enabling users to view more post options and details on a single screen without needing to scroll.

  3. Block a Facebook user from the Author profile slide-out: Facebook authors can be blocked directly from the Author Profile slide-out, streamlining the process after reviewing account conversation history, internal notes, or leaving notes.

  4. Autoapply saved filter selection in Conversations: When a user selects a saved filter set in Conversations, it will automatically apply, removing the need for the additional step of clicking Apply.

  5. Notification when maximum social connection limit is reached: In Social Connections > Owned Connections, customers attempting to add a new account after reaching their account limit will receive a clear notification. The message reads: "Account limit reached. Please contact your representative for assistance or additional information."

January 22 - Engage: Facebook Reels in Publish

Publish Facebook Reels directly from our platform, saving you time and simplifying your workflow by eliminating the need to switch to Facebook. Learn more about Publishing in Facebook.

January 29 - Schedule First Comments Across All Platforms

Scheduling the first comment now supports Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and X posts, helping you extend your message, share long reads, or organize key details like hashtags and step-by-step guides for better engagement and clarity. Learn more about Engage Publish.

Analyze Dashboards

January 16 - Analyze Dashboards: Classic Dashboard Migration Tool

Classic Dashboards are being retired to provide a better experience with new Analyze Dashboards. A migration tool in Analyze is available to convert Classic Dashboards into the Custom format, minimizing disruptions. Learn more about Migrating your Classic Dashboards.

Media Relations

January 21 - More Columns for Better Media List Organization

We've added three new columns across your Media Lists:

  • Media Lists Tab: Description Column

  • All Journalists Tab: Beats and Title Columns

  • All Newsdesks Tab: Beats Column

Klear

January 7 - Influencer Guest Accounts

Influencers invited to a campaign can now choose to join as a guest to gain access to the campaign portal rather than creating a new Klear account. Learn more about Creating and Inviting Influencers Using Klear’s Campaign Brief.

January 14 - Facebook Reels in Campaigns & Influencer Profiles

You can now track and report on Facebook Reels, giving you a complete view of your campaign's impact. Learn more about What Content Klear Automatically Captures and Klear Campaign Metrics.

January 14 - Unauthenticated Instagram Story Tracking Available For More Klear Users

Klear users (with an L2 subscription or above) can now track Instagram Stories from unauthenticated influencers in campaigns. Previously limited to users who also had Engage or Measure, this functionality now works through a new integration workflow in Klear's settings, with no additional subscriptions required. Alerts

January 23 - Alerts: Bulk Actions, Alert Previews, and Group Alerts by Type

We’ve reorganized Alert setup for better efficiency and group actions.

  • Now it's easier to see examples of the alert type before selecting

  • Set up multiple alerts at once for an Explore search, streamline your integrations in the same place

  • Spend less time on configuring alerts, and more time actioning them

Radarly

January 27 - Radarly: Customer Support AI Agent Mel in Radarly

Mel, the AI Agent you've grown to love in the Meltwater app, now appears in Radarly to assist users directly within the app. Learn more about In-App Chat.
