The Publish tab is where you will find the Calendar of outgoing owned posts in Engage. From the Calendar view, you can easily identify potential gaps in your content calendar. You can edit and schedule drafts, duplicate and copy posts, and review multi-media attachments.

Navigating to the Calendar
The Engage calendar is found in the Publish tab of Engage.
Click the Engage drop-down
Select Publish
Calendar View Overview
The Calendar view shows you all of your scheduled drafts, scheduled posts, published posts both within Meltwater and natively, failed posts, pending posts, and mobile posts. Check out the advanced options below available in calendar view:
Filter Options
Along the top toolbar within the calendar you have multiple filter options.
Filter by Social Profile
Use the account picker to select the handles you would like to see, it will default to all handles selected.
Filter by Content
Use the Content drop-down to filter the posts by All, Approved, Assigned, Assigned to Me, Rejected, or Unassigned.
Filter by Tags
Use the filter drop-down to select the tag(s) of the post you would like to view.
Calendar View
The calendar will default to the week view in the timezone set in your profile settings, but you can easily view your calendar in the monthly or stacked view.
The Stacked view offers a more compact view of all posts each day by removing hour blocks on the calendar and instead putting everything in chronological order.
Download
You can download the calendar content (posts) into a CSV file or print to a PDF. Select Download and open the file once ready.
Post Actions
If the post is in draft or scheduled, you can Delete, Duplicate, or Edit the post directly from the post within the calendar.
If the post has been published, failed or pending, you have the option to duplicate the post.
On a Native Post, click on the post to take the following actions:
Duplicate
Boost (for Facebook)
Tag
Log internal notes
Add unique links (for Instagram in bio)
Drag and Drop
Drag and drop calendar content to schedule or reschedule.
Post Status
The state of a post is easily identified based on the color in its heading. A legend at the bottom of the calendar identifies each color.
This toolbar also filters the calendar for content by status. Simply click on the icon.
Native Posts
Native Posts will appear in blue on the Publish calendar and will be updated within 10 minutes of being posted on the native platform.
Note: If the post is scheduled outside of Engage but is not yet live, it will not appear on the calendar. YouTube and TikTok are not supported at this time.
Selecting a Post
Selecting a post will show you the Post Details, where you can review the status, content, and tags. You can also see the details of the post, such as when it was created and by whom. For scheduled posts and drafts, you can delete or edit the message.
Workbench
The calendar features a workbench slide-out on the far left-hand side for actioning drafts and approving posts.
Drafts
You will find all unscheduled drafts under Drafts. From here, you have the option to edit the draft, or you can use the drag-and-drop feature to schedule the draft directly on the calendar.
Assigned
This is where you will find any posts that have been assigned to you for approval or if changes are needed.
Needs Changes
If a post has been rejected and/or there has been a status change to your assigned post - the post will appear here.
Adding Events to Your Calendar
Add events to your calendar to help plan around important dats directly in your Publish calendar. Events are non-publishing calendar entries that can be color coded by type or tagged for advanced filtering.
Types of Events
All-Day Events: All-day events are displayed as a bar across the top of the assigned date. If an event spans multiple days, the bar will stretch across each relevant date on the calendar.
Timed Events: Events scheduled for a specific time will appear in their respective time slots on the calendar. These events include a calendar icon to visually differentiate them from other content.
Creating an Event
To create an Event in Publish, follow these steps:
Note: You can create an unlimited number of events.
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Publish
From the purple Create drop-down
From the calendar
Add a description
Note: This is what will appear on the calendar.
Upload supporting assets as needed
Select a Date and Time or select All day and define an end date
Select a calendar color
Tip: We recommend using different colors to categorize by event type.
Apply a tag (this is optional). This will be helpful for filtering, espeically if you tie events to campaigns or broader themes.
Click Create
Viewing Events
To view events, follow these steps:
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Publish
To display only events
To hide all events
If you have used Tags to organize your events
Click the Tags drop-down at the top of your screen
Select your tag(s) to filter those events along with other tagged content
Editing an Event
To edit an existing event, follow these steps:
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Publish
Click on the event in the calendar
A pop-up window will appear, make edits as needed
Click Edit to save your changed
Deleting an Event
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Publish
Click on the event in the calendar
A pop-up window will appear, select the trash icon
Click Delete
