Multi-factor Authentication, or MFA, is now available on your profile page in Meltwater. Work safer and smarter with added security and protection. While MFA is optional, it delivers added security for those who enable it.

Before setting up multi-factor authentication in Meltwater, you will need a compatible authenticator app. Popular authenticator apps include:
Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy
Multi-Factor Authentication Overview
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security process that requires users to provide two or more different forms of identification before accessing a system or application. MFA enhances security for enterprise software users by adding an extra layer of protection beyond just passwords, effectively curbing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches.
Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication
To set up multi-factor authentication, follow these steps:
Click the Account drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Profile
Navigate to Security
Toggle on Enable Multi-factor authentication
Click Save
Click OK
Click Save again
Click the profile icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen
Click Logout
After you re-logging into Meltwater, a QR code will appear
On your mobile device, open your authenticator app
Select Add a Code
Click Scan a QR code
Scan the QR Code; a code will appear
Enter the code on the Meltwater app
Click Continue
Your Meltwater screen will now reload to your preset Home Page, and you can continue as normal
Limitations
Due to the existing login and security requirements established with Single Sign-On, if your company has SSO enabled, the MFA toggle in Profile settings will not appear. Learn more about Account Settings.
