The Platform Assistant is a new AI-powered tool designed to make your Meltwater experience easier and more efficient. Powered by a large language model (LLM), it's trained on Meltwater’s internal systems and knowledge base to help you get quick answers without navigating through the app.

Understanding the Platform Assistant

The Platform Assistant makes it easier to complete everyday tasks by allowing you to ask questions in natural, conversational language. This reduces the need to navigate through different parts of the app to find what you need.

New users, in particular, will find the Platform Assistant helpful for tasks like:

  • Brand monitoring

  • Competitive intelligence

  • Crisis management

  • Authentic engagement with media members

By streamlining these tasks, the Assistant helps you get up to speed quickly and focus on what matters most.


Using the Platform Assistant

Note: To submit feedback at any step, click the thumbs up or thumbs down icons.

  1. To launch the Platform Assistant, click Assistant in the app header bar.

  2. To launch a chat with the Platform Assistant, click the button in the header bar, found above the search bar. The Platform Assistant recommends common starting prompts, which you can copy and paste.

    1. Or, simply ask an open-ended question to get started

  3. Your conversation history will be maintained for 24 hours, or until you start a new chat.

  4. Today, the Assistant can help you with common tasks, outlined below with suggested example prompts:

    1. If you select Guidance and Account Support

      1. Details about your account:

        1. “Who is my account rep? How do I contact them?”

        2. “How many users are on my account?”

        3. “How many searches do I have remaining?”

      2. Details about your searches:

        1. “What searches do I have?”

        2. “What are my most recently created searches?”

      3. Support detail on Meltwater features & products:

        1. “How far back can I search in Meltwater?”

        2. “What types of media do you cover?”

        3. “How do I use boolean?”

    2. If you select Task and Workflow Assistance

      1. Content actions:

        1. “Help me find this article: [insert URL]”

        2. “Add this content to the platform: [insert URL]”

        3. “Report on the performance of this article: [insert URL]”

      2. Content insights:

        1. “What are the top stories about electric vehicles this week?”

        2. “Who are the top journalists writing about SXSW?

        3. “What are the top outlets covering the NFL?”

      3. Start workflows:

        1. "Create an alert for Taylor Swift in Toronto"

        2. "Create a press release announcing my new brand campaign"

        3. "Create a media pitch about my podcast partnership"
