Edit Metrics lets you manually update campaign post metrics with any performance data captured outside of Klear. Manually edited metrics would override Klear captured results and reflect the new data across Measure dashboards in Campaigns and in single campaign reports and exports.

This article will cover:

When to Use Edit Metrics

Streamline Reporting: Ideally, all metrics are captured for campaigns automatically, but that doesn’t always work perfectly. Some channels require influencer authentication, making it tricky to get data, especially for Instagram Stories. When authentication isn’t possible, Klear’s True Reach calculations step in to provide a clear overview. But in some cases, you might still request external screenshots from influencers to accurately measure success. Editing post metrics gives more flexibility and control over reporting, so you can house all your data directly in Klear to analyze campaign performance more accurately.

Capture Extended Post Metrics: When an influencer’s post on Instagram post is boosted, or an IG reel is shared on Facebook, the metrics shown on those platforms might be higher than what Klear automatically tracks (since Klear reports on organic Instagram metrics in-app). If your team needs to account for these extended metrics from additional promotion, you can update posts to reflect these numbers in reporting.

Using Edit Metrics

Post metrics can be edited within the Measure module of your selected campaign.

  1. Find the individual post you’d like to update

  2. Select Edit Metrics from the kebab menu on the right-hand side

  3. Use the pop-up to update metrics in the available fields. Once you have completed all your updates, hit Save

Note: Once you’ve edited the metrics, Klear will stop automatically updating the metrics and the numbers you enter will remain static.

  4. From the confirmation pop-up, select Skip to continue editing other posts in your campaign or select Refresh to update the page and see your new stats reflected

  5. Your changes will update the numbers across the dashboards in your Measure tab, and single Campaign Reports, and Exports.

  6. If you edit metrics for a post captured in multiple campaigns, your changes will be reflected across all campaigns.

Note: Changes will only be reflected on the Campaign level and will not be updated on content on the influencer profile page.

  7. All edited posts will include a Manually Edited label. Hover over the label to see who on your team edited the metrics and when.

  8. Use the Reset button if you’d like to restore the post metrics to the Klear captured results.
