Applying tags to social media content is great for campaign management, organizing your content, and reporting. Any of your Meltwater users can manage the tags applied, allowing you to collaborate with your whole social media team.

Prerequisites
Before tagging your social posts, you must first create a Tag Folder. To do so, follow these steps:
Click the Content drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Tags
Click Create tag in the top right-hand corner
Name your tag
Select Create
Tagging Social Posts in Publish
To tag a social post in Publish, follow these steps:
Tagging an Existing Post
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Publish
Select the drafted, scheduled, or published post you want to add to a tag
Navigate to the Tags section
Click the drop-down
Select the Tag(s) you want to add the post to
Click Close
Tagging a New Post
You can also Tag a post during the creation process.
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Publish
Click Create
Select Post
Compose your post accordingly
Navigate to Tags
Select the Tag(s) you want to add the post to
Click Post Now, Save Draft, or Schedule
Review Tags in Publish
After tagging content, you can filter your calendar view to include only specific tags.
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Select Publish
Select Tags in the filter bar at the top of your screen
Click the checkbox(es) to the left of the Tags you want to show in your calendar view
Click OK
Your calendar will repopulate to only include content in the tag(s) selected
Creating Reports from Tags
Click the Engage drop-down in the left-hand navigation bar
Click Measure
Navigate to Legacy Social Templates
Click Show More
Select Measure Tags in the Cross Channel Tags section
Click Add Tag
Click the checkbox(es) to the left of the Tags you want to show in your calendar view
Click OK
To download the report
Click Actions in the top right-hand corner
Select a downloading option
Excel
PDF
Shareable Dashboard
Note: When in Measure, there could be a couple of different reasons the tag analytics are not applying correctly to the dashboards. One reason could be a bug that we are working to fix. The other has to do with timing and the amount of data being pulled in. In both instances, please be patient and give it some time before reloading your dashboard.
