Gender and Age Identification
Gender identification:
The influencer’s gender is detected by extracting their social handle and name from their social account. This data is then compared with our list of first names (database of known first names from each country) to define their gender
Age identification:
It is defined by comparing the author's first name to another database: a distribution of birth names by year and by country (currently we only have these data for FR and US countries), which allows the tool to assign the median age associated with each first name
Note: If the supposed age contrasts with the information collected (for example, if the first name "Hugo" seems to be 16 years old according to our algorithm, but the user account indicates that he has 3 children), the tool will not take into account the age of this profile.
It will be the same if the first name is intergenerational and it is spread over more than 15 years, we could not define an age group.
