Understanding Content Landscape

The Content Landscape feature aims at offering deeper insights on the opinion held on particular topics (eg. a person, a product, an organization, an event, a location...) by the people you're interested in.

The Content Landscape is a first feature offering entity-level sentiment analysis and a synthetic view of the most important topics/entities and the opinion context associated to it.

Exploring the map at a lower scale, the user can have deeper insights on the emotional expressions used to qualify and talk about a specific topic/entity.

Note:

  • Once activated, the map is generated every month.

  • The Content Landscape is, for now, only available for content in English.

  • Platforms covered by the feature are : Media, Blogs, Forums, Reviews, Comments, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, Vkontakte.

  • Minimum documents required to generate the map: 5K.

Generated Landscape

Going on the content landscape, you'll first see the last generated landscape.

A timeline enables you to browse between the different landscapes. The left panel displays the distribution of topics type and the topics ranked by frequency (or occurrence). On the left, the topics and associated opinion expressions are projected on a map.

Exploring the Map

You can browse the content landscape, or search for specific content.

Using the top panel, you can:

  • Filter topics per type (person, location, organization or miscellaneous)

  • Search for a topic

  • Search for an affect expression (=word or group of words with polarity)

Clicking on a given entity, you can display:

  • Affect expressions & topics associated with the topic

  • The Wikipedia definition of the selected topic

Once an entity selected, you can display the list of posts in which you can find the entity and the related affects.
