YouTube is the world’s second-largest search engine, with use by 81% of Americans, and a worldwide user base of approximately 2.2 billion.

Daily time on YouTube tops out at nearly 20 minutes, one of the highest in the world. For brands looking to improve awareness and reputation, YouTube offers a large, captive, and engaged audience.

Posting and being active on YouTube will result in several metrics and KPIs to report on. Meltwater offers a streamlined dashboard for just that: YouTube Overview

This article will outline the key areas of the YouTube Overview Dashboard

YouTube in Meltwater

YouTube analytics from Engage help brands realize the massive potential of YouTube by:

  • Tracking and measuring the performance of branded YouTube video content alongside audience growth

  • Identifying the key characteristics of top-performing posts

  • Determining whether video views across all of your videos are reaching your desired KPIs

  • Breaking down engagement metrics over time

With the YouTube Overview Report, you can report on the performance of your YouTube channel and top videos.

Pro tip: When you connect your YouTube Channel to Meltwater for the first time, we will automatically load 400 days of data, from the point of connection, for insights and metrics. Fan count data is not included in this initial connection.

Both options download directly to your computer.

The excel will download all of the raw number data from your dashboard, and separate it by tab.

The PDF will download a snapshot of the report, in a landscape PDF, perfect for presentations! You can also schedule the PDF export, using the Schedule Report option, to automatically be delivered to your inbox, at either a weekly or monthly interval.

Appendix

Due to Youtube Terms of Service, YouTube data may only appear in the YouTube Overview dashboard. This means YouTube data will not be included in Cross-Channel dashboards.
