Brand-Level Sentiment brings entity-specific sentiment to Explore. Instead of seeing sentiment for a post overall, you can now understand how a specific company, person, or product is being talked about – positive, negative, or neutral.
This article will cover:
Note: This is only available for Enterprise customers in Explore.
Using Brand-Analysis
Click Explore in the left-hand navigation bar
Open an existing search or create a new one
Select Brand Analysis in the top toolbar
Enter an entity name (e.g Red Bull)
Choose the brand version—not a URL variant.
Note: Selecting a website will set the entity as that specific website, rather than the brand.
Once you have selected an entity for Brand-Level Sentiment analysis, the sentiment metrics will reflect the sentiment of that entity within your search results. If the entity does not appear in your search or there is no sentiment detected, there will be no results displayed in the sentiment graphs.
Note: Only the sentiment metrics will reflect the entity level sentiment. Metrics like volume and post previews will continue to display content reflecting the entire search.
Tip: You'll know you're seeing brand-level sentiment when the chart says the entity name (e.g., “Red Bull”) next to the sentiment label.
Top Chart: "Sentiment – Red Bull" = Entity-Level Sentiment.
Bottom Chart: "Sentiment" = Overall search sentiment.
