The Analytics tab gives a deeper understanding and allows you to visualize your social media data.

Check out each widget explained below:

Mentions Trend by Source Type

This widget provides the trend of activity by source for each day in your selected date range. If the date range is fewer than 7 days, Explore shows an hourly breakdown in the widget.

Total Mentions: Provides a total volume of all mentions from all sources in your selected date range. It also includes the delta trend, which tells you the percentage change in volume over the previous time frame.

Daily Average: Provides an average of the volume of all mentions from all sources in your selected date range, as shown below. The average volume per day is a useful benchmark and can help spot unusual spikes in volume. It also includes the delta trend, which tells you the percentage change in volume over the previous time frame.

To see the number of mentions for a specific source on a specific date within your selected date range, hover your mouse cursor over that point in the widget. To drill down to a specific source and date, simply click that point in the widget. Explore will update the query date range and filter by source, and the content stream and widgets will reflect these date range changes.

Engagement Trend by Source Type

This widget displays the number of engagements per day, broken down by each social source. When the widget is clicked, filters for source type and date selected are applied.

Total Engagement: provides the total number of likes, reposts, etc., and the percentage change compared to the previous period. An X handle could post multiple times with your query keywords within your selected time range. We filter out duplicates to return the unique number of authors.

This widget complements the Total Engagement metric by allowing users to trend engagements by source type. By breaking engagements out by social source and trending, you can easily identify engagement peaks and valleys.

Most Engaged Content

This widget shows the search results with the most user engagement (e.g., likes, reposts, etc.).

Top Locations

This widget shows the distribution of mentions according to the country in which the user posted the mention.

Hover over a specific country to see the number of occurrences. Click on the country to see all mentions from that country.

You can also narrow this down to the top State/Province or City by selecting the dropdown beside 'Country' in the upper right-hand corner of the widget.

Top Editorial Sources

This widget shows the editorial publications that appear most frequently.

You are able to open up each source by hovering over the source and opening it.

You can open up each link by hovering over the link and clicking.

Note: YouTube data is excluded from these visualizations per their policies.

Each widget can be exported by selecting the 'Download" Icon, Download CSV in the upper right-hand corner of each individual widget.
